- We chose the Woodland Trust for donations following Dales' death and the walk goes through a woods owned by the Woodland Trust.
- It allows people to publicly remember Dale around his birthday. We feel we owe this to the hundreds of people who paid there last respects at his funeral and to the many hundreds who sent their sympathy and wishes
- It will introduce many people to the beauty of our local woods and wildlife
- We will be able to swap stories about Dale and his antics
- It will raise awareness and cash for the Woodland Trust and Dales Climbing Wall Fund
- And finally and most importantly, Dales' favourite place was in the woods, he was happiest up there, with his friends, with his family, with his dog, Tigger or just alone. We all miss you Dale.
