84 wooden steps as your journey through Coed-Y-Garth ends and you assend up into the beautiful open country-side....

When you walk through Coed-Y-Garth from Garth Mill the Woodland Trust land ends where the bridge crosses the first stream. Cross the next bridge and your faced with a brisk climb which looks impresive from the bottom and fantastic from the top!

It wasn't always like this, the first Dale Way walk in August 2004, we had to scramble up the steep slope. Many people struggled but we all made it - from little Ellie aged 2 to Dales grandparents!
